Hand-Building in Clay for Adults
- Student Pieces created in Beginning Ceramic Class
In this beginning class, students will learn the three techniques used in clay to make just about anything they desire. The techniques are simple and fun to learn – coil, slab and pinch pot. We create some fabulous projects while learning the techniques. Once you have them mastered your imagination is the only thing holding you back. Each 2 hour session is designed to introduce you to one of the techniques and allows you to master this technique while creating the same project as everyone else. Once you’ve created your beginning project then you are set free to create your own art using the technique just learned. The last class will focus on glazes and stains and if there is time you can glaze one of your projects.
